Discover the Kwongan

The Pinnacles are not the only attraction of the Turquoise Coast Region.

Not only does this area support a very good wildlife population, it is also recognised as one of the world’s major botanical regions.

The Full Day Tour looks at most of the other attractions of the Turquoise Coast.

Whilst the tour does not cover a big distance, it does take at least 10½ hours and is therefore not recommended for young children.

Naturally, while stops will be made to look at anything of interest, the main areas visited are the Hill River and Beekeepers Nature Reserves, Lesueur National Park, Stockyard Tunnel Cave, Lake Indoon and the coastal area between Leeman and Greenhead. During the main wildflower season we usually opt for a more inland route to maximise the wildflower experience.

When access is availble, one stop on this tour is at Kenandra Farm.  Here, Ken and Sandy have established "Loveland for Wildlife", where orphaned kangaroos are raised and rehabilitated back into the wild.  This "not for profit" organisation relies heavily on donations.  Any help you can give would be appreciated.  For more information, visit their website www.lovelandforwildlife.com

In order to see the most of these alternative features, the Pinnacles are not visited on the Full Day Tour. However, clients are taken on a much more comprehensive trip to this feature either the evening before or the following morning at no extra cost.
